About
What is this?
Nom Chomsky is an examination of food in the collective conscious, as found in arts and culture. You can expect photography, video, writing, and conversations, both original and curated from eaters and thinkers from around the world.
Who are you?
I’m Sam. I used to be a chef, but now I do advertising. I blog and I tweet and I live in Brooklyn.
Why are you doing this?
I’ve always been interested in food. Most of my personal time, professional history, reading, traveling, thinking, and memories center on cooking and eating. This was once the focus of an independent study I conducted while studying in Budapest, Hungary. As food returns to the forefront of political discourse, the arts, and everyday life, I hope to reveal the plate as a forum for discussion, a tool for change, and a gallery for self-expression.
